Check box to stay logged in:

If you check the "stay logged in" checkbox, you won't have to sign in each time you come back when on this computer. Instead, you will be automatically logged in and taken directly to the schedule. The "stay logged in" feature lasts approximately thirty days (or until you either click the "Log Out" button or clear your browser's cookies).

Additionally, simply refreshing your window will log you in if you are timed out of the system after a period of inactivity. This means, for example, that you can go to the "Control Panel," walk away from your computer for a few hours, and simply click "refresh" when returning to begin working with the control panel again.

If you use a shared or public computer (such as in a computer lab or library), you should not check the "stay logged in" checkbox.

Announcements

April 23, 2012: Quote of the Week: "The role of a writer is not to say what we all can say, but what we are unable to say." ~Anaïs Nin

April 03, 2012: Quote of the Week: "Sentences are not different enough to hold the attention unless they are dramatic. No ingenuity of varying structure will do. All that can save them is the speaking tone of voice somehow entangled in the words and fastened to the page for the ear of the imagination." -Robert Frost

March 26, 2012: Quote of the Week: "The most empathetic place in a clause or sentence is the end. This is the climax; and during the momentary pause that follows, that last word continues, as it were, to reverberate in the reader's mind. It has, in fact, the last word. One should therefore think twice about what one puts at a sentence-end." -F.L. Lucas

March 05, 2012: Quote of the Week:"Whether or not you write well, write bravely."-Bill Stout

February 28, 2012: Quote of the Week: "And how is clarity to be achieved? Mainly by taking trouble; and by writing to serve people rather than to impress them." -F.L. Lucas

THE WRITING CENTER IS OPEN MONDAYS THROUGH THURSDAYS FROM 10am TO 8pm. Make an appointment today!

February 24, 2012: FOOD FOR THOUGHT: “Experienced writers know how to use fragments deliberately and effectively--noun phrases and verb phrases that add detail without a full sentence and invariably call attention to themselves.” -Martha Kolln, Rhetorical Grammar.
